I could fill this entire page with exclamation marks!
I went and talked to our drama teachers.
I told them I was thinking about going into the field of costume design.
And I asked them if they wanted any help with costumes in the musical.
They squealed.
And gave me the script.
We talked about 20’s fashion.
We talked about perusing Goodwill for hats and shoes.
And about the room full of costume in our schools basement.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rose! Congrats! This is such an amazing opportunity for you! As I was reading this I was thinking of all of the students I taught at the beauty school. I was constantly telling them not to discount finger waves and other styles from the past, you never know what you might end up doing, like fashion and movies! I bet if your school was interested in some free hairstyles to go along with the fantastic costumes you are designing, you could partner with a hair student to compliment your final vision!
Good luck to you and I can’t wait for weekly updates!
Lisa
Thank you! The drama teacher was talking to me about fingerwaves, and how time consuming they are. A student did say she could help with them, but if the job is to big we might consider the offer. Thank you!
Rose,
What an absolutely amazing project for you to be a part of, a win for you and the drama program. You are and will be at the Goodwill store so often they may offer you a job, but I don’t know where you fit that into your very busy schedule.
Thank you! I’m so excited. I can’t wait to start looking through all goodwills, because they restock so often, I’ll probley just stop in every time I drive by and puruse the shoes and hats because we need so much of them.
